Covering an area of around 2500 hectares on the Alipurduar-Kamakhyaguri road is Rasikbil, a large lake that is famous for its large population of migratory birds. A deer park and a crocodile rehabilitation centre are located close by. Also around it are a leopard house, a python house, an aviary and a tortoise rescue and rehabilitation centre. Various kind of local birds are available in and around the Rasikbil all over the year and also some migrant birds are available in winter.
The bird variety includes cormorants, different varieties of storks, ibis, spoonbill, kingfisher, parrots, owl,Mynas, Orioles, Owls, Parakeets, Partridges, Sunbirds, Swallows, Swifts, Woodpeckers, cormorants and many others. and many others. There is a large aquarium, a dear Park, crocodile rehabilitation, a leopard rehabilitation center. Park and beautiful lawn and a forest bungalow are all that can be availed by guest. This is actually one extreme end of Buxa reserve forest and the forested region is comparatively less dense than Buxa.
Places to See at Rashikbill:
The Lake located in the middle of the forest is a beauty spot in the body of Rashikbeel. The lake features sweet water fishes in abundance. The Kutiputti and the Borali that are two popular varieties of fish in North Bengal are found in this lake. Large Aquarium, Crocodile Rehabilitation and Dear Park are attractions in the heart of Rasikbeel. The Deer Park with above fifty deer is a suitable place to roam or relax. The park with movement of deer and the fluttering of birds on the bank of the lake is nice spot to make much of your leisure. There are also a python house, a leopard house and a Tortoise house to visit.

Tourists who loved to watch the local birds and migratory birds; Rasik Bill is the ideal place for them. It is a eco-tourist spot situated just one and a half hour of drive from Alipurduar town. Main attraction of that area is anvifauna in and around Rasikbil. The Baneshwar temple and the Madan Mohan temple in the town of Cooch Behar are recommended for history lovers to visit. The Royal Palace is the focus of attraction with tourists to Rashikbeel. There are a large aquarium, a dear park, a crocodile rehabilitation center, a tortoise rescue center and many more. And you can enjoy boating in the Rasikbil.
