Lamahatta, at an altitude of about 1700 meter and only 23 km away from Darjeeling town, ready for tourists. The state government would develop the Lamahatta area in Darjeeling for tourists. Pedong: Pedong is ideal for tourists seeking solitude as well as those seeking adventure. It is located on the old silk route that connected India and Tibet through Jelep La. About 22km from Kalimpong. It commands a majestic view of the Kanchenjungha. St. George's School is one of the famous boarding schools in the region.
Kalimpong: Kalimpong, a lovely hill station in West Bengal overlooking the beautiful Teesta valley is located about 50 km east of Darjeeling at the foothills of the Lower Himalayas and offers panoramic views of the great Himalayan ranges and of the Kanchenjunga peak.
